Suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers, this two-day expedition offers an excellent opportunity to experience mountain trekking without the challenges of extreme high-altitude expeditions.
Standing as the highest peak in the lower Himalayan range of Uttarakhand at an elevation of approximately 9,915 feet (3,022 metres), Nag Tibba successfully combines adventure, environmental education, physical fitness, and leadership development into a memorable experience.

Arrival & The Trail to Pantwari
The journey begins from Dehradun with a scenic drive to Pantwari, the base village of the trek. From here, participants embark on a rewarding trek through dense oak and rhododendron forests, traditional Himalayan villages, and picturesque mountain trails while learning about the region's rich biodiversity, local culture, and fragile mountain ecosystem. Throughout the trek, students engage in practical outdoor activities that promote teamwork, endurance, leadership, navigation skills, and responsible trekking practices.
Wilderness Camping
Upon reaching the campsite, participants experience camping in the Himalayan wilderness, where they learn essential outdoor survival skills, campsite management, and eco-friendly practices. The evening provides an opportunity for group interaction, team-building activities, and stargazing under the clear Himalayan sky, creating a memorable outdoor learning experience while encouraging a deeper appreciation for nature and environmental conservation.
Nag Tibba Summit (9,915 ft)
The highlight of the expedition is the early morning trek to the Nag Tibba Summit, where students are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of some of the most prominent Himalayan peaks, including Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Chaukhamba. A visit to the sacred Nag Devta Temple at the summit introduces participants to the local traditions and spiritual significance associated with the region. The summit experience also provides valuable learning opportunities in Himalayan geography, mountain ecology, and the importance of preserving high-altitude environments.
Descent & Return
After spending time at the summit, the group descends back to Pantwari before returning to Dehradun, concluding a fulfilling educational adventure.
